SERVING THE COUNTER CULTURE
We believe great baked goods deserve only the best coffee to accompany them. That is why we serve Counter Culture Coffee, one of the finest roasters in the country. Counter Culture sources the most exciting, delicious, and freshest coffees from all over the world while maintaining sustainable practices and close relationships with their farmers. The result is a beautiful cup of coffee that will make you reconsider the cream and sugar. Our menu is simple and traditional, allowing the true flavor of the coffee to shine through. For those of you who love your sweet drinks, we’ve got your back; our syrups are made in-house from scratch without artificial ingredients.
Hologram is Counter Culture's update of the classic Mocha Java flavor profile. Fruit-forward and chocolatey coffees combine to create something distinctly complex. Tasting notes: milk chocolate, fruity, syrupy.
Fast Forward is a seasonally rotating blend that uses coffees at the peak of freshness to capture their true characteristics. This provides not only a perfectly fresh cup, but also the opportunity to try coffees from all over the world while at their best. Tasting notes: nutty, sweet and light.
Slow Motion is home for new, delicious coffees that emerge as the seasons change. This attention to freshness—combined with small-batch, chemical-free water processing—results in decaf coffee that is sweet, complex, and rewarding. Tasting notes: mollasses, coco, smooth.
Papua New Guinea
Coffees from the Tairora Project are small lots that are meticulously separated and selected for quality from a few villages and producers in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Look for savory-sweet notes of stone fruit and ginger snap.
From planting dozens of coffee varieties to separating lots from small communities, each year the family that runs the Remera washing station impress us. It is no wonder that their coffee is delicious—deeply sweet and beaming with notes of stone fruit and citrus.
